How to organise a funeral

If someone has died and you need help with the next steps, please reach out to us. It can be an overwhelming time, and we understand that navigating this process can be difficult. When you reach out to us, our funeral directors will listen to your wishes and guide you through what happens next. From the transportation and paperwork, to the funeral service ministers and flowers, we are here to support our families through the following steps.

Step 1

Conversation

On our first phone call together we will have a chat about you and your loved one. We’ll advise you on the next steps and give you an idea of your family’s options. We will also arrange an in-person appointment.

Step 2

Appointment

When we have our appointment together, either at Harold White or your home, we’ll talk about what arrangements you would like to make and how you want your loved one’s funeral to go. We’ll make sure you have a clear understanding of costs involved before you make any final plans and ensure you organise a funeral that’s right for your family.

Step 3

Care

From the moment we collect your loved one, they’ll be treated with the utmost care, attention and respect. You will have the chance to spend time with your loved one while they are in our care, as we finalise arrangements and prepare everything for the funeral.

Step 4

Support

Throughout the process of arranging the funeral, you will have our constant support and advice. On the day of the funeral, you’ll be able to sit with your feelings without having to be concerned with the order of service, or what’s supposed to happen next. We’ll carry out yours and your loved one’s wishes to the letter, and help you create the space for a memorial that truly honours them.

Get in touch or arrange a call back

You can call us anytime on 0208 529 1530 or send us a message and we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible. Please let us know if you’d prefer to receive an email rather than a telephone call (or vice versa).
